Who can attend EQ Education workshops?
Our workshops are designed for people who support young people in education and beyond. Depending on the workshop, this may include teachers, education assistants, learning support staff, student services and wellbeing teams, school leaders, parents and carers.
Check the Who is it for? section on each workshop page to see who will get the most from that particular session.
Do I need to be a teacher to attend?
No. You don’t need to be a registered teacher or work in a school to attend.
Many of our workshops are also relevant to education assistants, support staff, parents and carers. Each workshop description explains who it has been designed for.
How long are the workshops?
Our workshops run for approximately 3 hours.
They’re designed to give you enough time to understand the topic, explore practical strategies and work through real-world applications — without taking up your entire day.
How much do workshops cost?
Individual workshops at our Perth Hub are $75 per person.
Your booking includes the 3-hour workshop, take-home resources and a Certificate of Attendance.
Where are the workshops held?
Our scheduled workshops are held at the EQ Education. 100 Stirling Street, Perth
The street parking is only for 2 hours at a time, however there are plenty of Wilson and City of Perth parking within close walking distance.
We are also only a few hundred metres walk from Perth Central or McIvor train stations.
What should I bring?
Just yourself!
Any workshop resources you need will be provided. You’re welcome to bring a notebook, laptop or tablet if that’s how you prefer to take notes.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. Participants receive a Certificate of Attendance following the workshop.
For teachers, the certificate will also identify the relevant APST focus areas addressed by the workshop.
Do the workshops count towards professional learning for WA teachers?
EQ Education workshops are mapped to relevant focus areas of the Professional Standards for Teachers in Western Australia.
Teachers may be able to include relevant workshop attendance as part of their professional learning requirements. Each workshop page identifies the APST focus areas most directly addressed.
Teachers remain responsible for determining the relevance of professional learning activities to their individual registration requirements.
Can my school book a workshop for our staff?
Absolutely.
Any of our workshops can be delivered specifically for your school or staff team. This can work well for professional development days, student services teams, learning support teams, leadership groups or whole-school professional learning.
School-based workshops are generally available for groups of 15 or more participants.
Contact us to discuss your school and what you’re looking for.
Can you come to our school?
Yes. EQ Education can deliver workshops onsite at schools across WA.
Travel within 10 km of our Perth office is included. Additional travel charges may apply for locations further away, and we’ll confirm these with you before you book.
For regional locations or larger programs, contact us and we can discuss what’s possible.

7–14 days before: 50% refund or transfer the full value of your booking to another available workshop.

I’m not sure which workshop is right for me. Can you help?
