Description
Look after the people doing the supporting.
3-Hour Workshop | $75 per person | Perth | Take-Home Resources | Certificate of Attendance
Caring work has a cost
People who work with students give a lot of themselves. They listen, absorb difficult stories, manage crises, regulate their own reactions and often carry concern for young people long after the school day ends.
Being committed to the work doesn’t make someone immune to burnout, compassion fatigue or vicarious trauma.
Notice it before empty becomes normal
This workshop creates space to understand the impact of emotionally demanding roles and recognise the signs that a staff member’s own capacity may be wearing thin.
We’ll explore professional boundaries, reflective practice and practical wellbeing strategies that protect staff without pretending a yoga class or a box of chocolates can fix an unsustainable workload.
Wellbeing is also a team issue
Individual strategies matter, but people also need teams where it is safe to speak up, ask for help, debrief appropriately and acknowledge when the work has been hard.
You’ll leave with practical ways to protect your own wellbeing and contribute to a psychologically safer culture where the people doing the supporting feel supported too.
